When you have dark cabinets, you should always try to make sure your lighting in the kitchen is considered.  For this client, the lighting made the kitchen seem dark and dim.  We bought the client a kitchen island light from wayfair.com.  The light was delivered and installed in two days.  Always check online for better lighting options.  Lowes and Home Depot only have builder grade options.
